Many of these galleries are part a long-term project to depict the religious traditions, daily life, culture, and scenery of modern Japan. I hope they will grow into a resource for cultural exchange and teaching.

There are also a few galleries depicting trips to the American Southwest (my native region in the US) and other places in Asia.

I am an Associate Professor in the Faculty of International Studies at Meiji Gakuin University. My area of research is Japanese Buddhist social history, and I teach world history as well. Please see this site for more information on my academic background:
