The Hetsu-no-miya Shrine dedicated to the spirit (kami) Tagitsuhime. Shrine lore claims Minamoto Sanetomo, 2nd son of Minamoto Yoritomo, was the founding patron. Following Shinto tradition, the worshippers approach the entrance of the worship hall, and draw the spirit's attention by clapping. After an offering, they make their prayers, and then move away for the next person.
